Herb, I believe the two new patents are part of the reason Lev promoted Jerry Barker to chief of R & D. As I heard it, Jerry found something that raised performance higher than what was already clearly above the competition. Add to that Valence's high volume production capability and Valence comes out clearly a winner. Remember, as of August 12,all they have to do is make 1800 laptop batteries per day to break even. Line 1 should be able to produce 8000 per day with 3 shifts, and a contract could come at any time, perhaps early January. Add the tremendous capacity for top quality cellphone, PDA batteries and some Joint Venture revenue and you have Wolanchuk's outcome.

If anyone questions the demand for batteries, try counting the number of new battery-powered gizmos appearing under your Christmas tree and multiply your findings by the number who might open a battery-powered present worldwide.
