David Thor;

For what it is worth, I have been a worker and a share holder of Lockheed. I have watched the consolidation of the industry over the years. From that perspective, I would offer that they are already a 'big' player in satellite production and want to be a big player in the 'vertical' satellite services area. If the Loral stock has not caused them difficulty by now, the acquisition of Comsat is not going to change the mix. If anything, Lockheed would hold on to the Loral stock because they must realize, as we do, that to sell now would be to sell low.

In difference to some other corporate relationships, I dont get the sense that there is any back stabbing adversarial context here. Nothing to back that up, but just my general impression of the relationship to this date. I dont see a spiteful dumping of 16% of Loral's shares on the market. Ofcourse, I have been wrong before. (I think it was back in '82 :-O (gg)
