Chris, I am surprised by your somewhat bearish post, considering your superb command of industry knowledge.
If you apply stage analysis to QCOM, it has just completed years of base building, fluctuating back and forth while the company is getting their act together. We have just moved into the advancing stage. I think we are years away from the peaking stage, not to mention the fourth and final profit taking stage.
Projection for $1.15 earnings next year is almost completely irrelevant at this time. Not many companies, MSFT and INTC included, have as clear a growth future as QCOM presents. At this moment, any wall street analyst's projection is, in my opinion, a pure guess. If you have read some of their reports, available via QCOM's investor relations, you have to question the statistical validity of the numbers, when there are so many ifs, ands, ors & may bes.
By the way, where is Maurice? QCOM is doing great during his recent absence, may be he should stay quiet.
