(PR Wires) DJ: CBS Sports to Employ Electronic 'First Down Line' Technology From Princeton Video Image For Saturday's Chiefs-Raiders Game
This Saturday's NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders, televised on CBS at 4:00 PM (EST), will utilize an electronic First Down Line, making it easier for TV viewers to determine the progress of each play. Generated using the Live Video Insertion System (L-VIS(TM)) from Princeton Video Image, the First Down Line appears to viewers as a stripe across the field, and is visible while the play is in progress. CBS Sports also plans to use the electronic First Down Line in all four AFC playoff games.
For information on this technology and its use in other live and recorded sports events, please contact Christina Friedkin of Roher Public Relations at 212-986-6668, or Sam McCleery of Princeton Video Image at 609-912-9400.
