<A.S: I looked at the 5 yr charts and was not able to substantiate your findings. CS started a downtrend only in June 97 1.e 18 mths ago. > Doug, I don't know what your deal is regarding CS. Do you work for the company or something? Any comparison in performance over five years shows that CS has the worst performance and it has trailed the performance of the market leaders ALL THE WAY! The big drop off in price has come in the past two years, but, for the previous three years they saw less than a 20% appreciation(that's not annual, that's over three years) while companies like CSCO(+1200%) and ASND(+2800%) were skyrocketing. The fact is that during the period when the most explosive growth of data networking took place CS couldn't manage to budge their company's value. This is not a transition problem, its a HISTORY OF FAILURE by the management of the company to take advantage of opportunities that have made other companies giants. Think about this, if you had invested $10,000 in 1992 in both CS and in CSCO the value of your investment today in CS would be $8300 and the value of your investment in CSCO would be $485,000. Here's the chart, stop making excuses for people who have made themselves rich, but, NEVER enriched the shareholders... techstocks.com
