Shawn, those that rode out the refocusing at CPQ have been amply rewarded, to say the least. Compaq still has a lot of work cut out for them in establishing and executing a strategic vision that will allow them to continue to prosper having already achieved such mammoth size. I'll kindly decline your invite to the CPQ thread. <g>

IBM uses 3Com network cards and campus gear (hubs/switches). IBM.net, which is in the process of being sold to AT&T, also is standardized on 3Com's Total Control hubs. They were the first truly nationwide ISP to roll out 56k service. IBM has longstanding relationships with 3Com and USR.

I don't know about Toshiba.
