Survey - Contingency Planning- 'Dear ITAA Year 2000 Outlook Reader:
As the Year 2000 approaches, many organizations are beginning to implement Y2K contingency planning programs. Has yours?
Through a series of short e-mail surveys, the Information Technology Association of America, under the auspices of its Software Division, has attempted to reconcile the various Y2K marketplace views of IT vendors and customers. Previously, these IndustryPulse studies focused on how companies and government agencies are performing this work. Now we turn our attention to the difficult issue of contingency planning and the extent to which organizations may be taking steps to minimize Y2K disruptions.
If you are a weekly reader of ITAA's Year 2000 Outlook, you know that ITAA works hard to bring the latest in news and perspective on this critical issue to your desktop every Monday morning. That's not always easy, but we have been doing it at no charge since 1996 because we feel it is an extremely important public service.
We hope you will agree. We hope you will also join us in recognizing that surveys are an important mechanism for giving you a sense of the marketplace-how your experience and observations stack up with others. So now, as we have in the past, we ask you to complete the following survey questionnaire and return it to us. Your responses will be completely confidential. No information about you or your company will be released; all survey responses will be aggregated and presented collectively. In return for your completed questionnaire, we will provide you with full access to survey results.
Please respond to survey@itaa.org by Thursday, December 24. If you have any questions, please contact me at bcohen@itaa.org or 703-284-5333. To learn more about the ITAA IndustryPulse Survey Program, visit our web site at itaa.org
___ Check here and return to survey@itaa.org to be removed from both the survey distribution list AND ITAA's Year 2000 Outlook subscriber list.
