You said it much better than I did, Orion. I'm in a rural area, and must go through a lot of routers to get to any destination on the net. Because of the problems I've had, I got a shareware program that 'pings' all points along the route to whatever destination I'm connected to. The results displayed after the 'pinging' makes it pretty clear that my slow internet problems would NOT be corrected by any 'last mile' improvements by me. The other guy (at the destination) needs to improve HIS last mile before it will be worth my upgrade dollars. jim
