I don't know if they added Chao Ji VCD.......... 1998 Market Demand for Home Cinema System, 2.4 Million (Xinhua Electronics News/Xinhua News Agency) BEIJING -- China's market demand for home cinema systems is expected to reach 2.4 million sets in 1998, according to a forecast by the China Electronic Audio System Industrial Association. Sales of home cinemas with all environing audio functions and AV function reached 1.17 million sets in 1997, up 89.9% from 1996. Of the total sales, about 44.2%, or 517,000 sets, were imported. Following is a table showing the market sales of home cinemas in 1996 and 1997 and the market demand expected for 1998 and 1999.
