Techteam--
(AT LAST!: more "Could not connect to remote machine". Do you think we could find some nice company willing to donate some superservers to SI?)
Needless to say, analysts caught front-running are in big trouble. However, in many cases the size of their bonuses depends on the accuracy of their predictions. It is in their interests that a stock actually do what they say it's gonna do. In this particular case, Sood expressed worries that USRX wouldn't hit its numbers. H&Q brokers conveyed these concerns to their clients. I don't know whether they actively counselled those clients to sell, but no doubt many did. It would NOT have looked good had Sood come out and said, "Oh yeah, cool, I was wrong..."
H&Q's powerful in the tech world, as is Robbie Stephens. Even so, there are other factors involved. There seem to be those who aren't thrilled to death with the 6% sequential increase in revenues. Here the Robot's caught between a rock (ROK?) and a hard place: my own feeling is that they believe revs will soar this quarter with the introduction of x2, but they absolutely cannot under any circumstances say that. Should something go wrong, they'd be digging out from under lawsuits for the next five years.
And as far as just today's concerned, Geary made a good point about the CSCO release.
So, as usual, we'll see... Now if only I can submit this...
This is IMPOSSIBLE!!! I everyone else having as much difficulty today as I am?
