Hi Blue: Well it looks like you guys got your early christmas present with the aquisition of Kevin. Only thing is instead of buying only one chili dog at the game you'll have to buy a dozen to pay his salary. <g> Can you imagine the amount of gas leaving that stadium. hehe! You've probably heard Clemens withdrew his name off the Jays must trade list. I'm not sure what the problem was with the Astros management but it looks like they screwed up big time. Whatever it was that pissed him off, Roger says he won't be playing there. That's great news for the Jays but the shits for teams in desperate need of his services like the M's. Not only that but the Jays managed to steal Hamilton from the Padre's. Now if the Jay's can keep Clemens then they might do well next year. Mariners haven't made much news lately. I hear Ducey went on wavers from the M's two days ago and got picked up right away for 400,000. Big deal. I have to disagree with you on the M's management in one area, Pinella. I'm a big fan. Until he came along the M's just seemed to go through the motions, there never appeared to be real leadership. Lou brought that to the club. Last year believe it or not the M's got the most votes to finish first in there division last year. We all know what happened there. Pitching killed them. It won't take much to make them real contenders IMO. ------- Nothing wrong with being a college hockey fan. You'd be surprized what we cheer for up north. I'll bet you couldn't tell me who the best 5 pin bowler is in north america. <gg> Just kidding. I'm a big fan of college football. I've never attended a game but the atmosphere must be fantastic.
