I don't know if everyone has noticed this or not, but HD has been selling they're gift certificates right at the cash registers. Instead of going to the return desk and waiting in long lines to buy gift certificates, they have them hung on a wrack right above the cash registers. They are the size of credit cards, and in increments of 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollars. They are FLYING out of the Sarasota store. The managers tell me, they are selling more than they ever dreamed. The idea is absolutely brilliant. If they are doing this at all the stores, which I imagine they are, this will be an enormous help to earnings this quarter.
