I thought you were attempting to use EPS to calculate market
capitalization not PE. If you reread your original post, it
is not clear what you were asking.

I interpreted your post to say ".38 > .30, Trident's market
capitalization or share price should be higher than S3" I
never said the #shares outstanding isn't used to CALCULATE EPS.
Obviously, EPS = earnings per share (I may be dumb but I'm not
stupid!). What I said was you cannot just blindly COMPARE EPS
of a company and say that one has more revenues than the other
without looking at the #shares outstanding.

I now understand that you meant PE ratio, but your original
post didn't mention PE. I guess what I'm saying is I completely
misunderstood your post and I apologize for the confusion.

As for the EPS estimates, Trident's qtr-to-qtr increase for
the second half of 1997 is still flat so I don't see why H&Q
seemed to focus solely on Q1 and not the remainder of 1997.

Well that's enough from me. I need some coffee.
