Emile,

If the U.S. would adopt policies that are STRICTLY in THEIR self-interest, it would not have earned the condemnation of so many.

As I've pointed out many times, this neglect of long-term interest in favor of short-term expediency is a consistent pattern in US foreign policy, not limited to the middle east. How many times have we thrown our weight behind corrupt, inept, antidemocratic dictators simply because they were superficially opposed to communism? How many of those dictators actually encouraged communist insurgencies with their own incompetence?

If you look only at the middle east, it's easy to leap to the Jewish conspiracy theory. The overall pattern leads to different conclusions.

And that tale sadly happens to be a tiny illegitimate country with
the most poisonous and destructive motives known to man.

Other than survival, what would those motives be? I don't much care for the way the Israelis behave, but I do believe that they are truly convinced that their actions are necessary to ensure their own survival. Do you really think they are out to dominate the world?
