AR, I started out rooting for Cramer, then he hit me with so many half truths and so much false modesty that I couldn't stand him. Again! <G>
They played the tapes. First, he called the prices of internet stocks Fraudnet. He was right. He never accused the co. in question of being fraudulent, though I could see how they might think so.
Then he said, on tape, that he was going to short the stock, but couldn't borrow it. The co., and CNBS, rightly in my view, took the idea that he was playing with inside info of the co's appearance on CNBS and their grilling by Cramer as an ethical challenge. Cramer claimed he never said that he was going to short the stock. But he did say it clearly on the tape. He claimed he was inarticulate. <G> Nope, just caught in being disingenuous.
Later, he went through the Kurlak story on Intel. He defended Kurlak's honor while the hairspray twins attacked him.
He menitoned that Ingram and Inacom were having bad quarters because the value added resellers were going directly to the pc boxmakers. Some of that is true. However, he neglected to mention that the VARs were also having a disastrous quarter. Very slick and bigtime misdirection.
Basically, I would say, I know Bill Clinton and I've worked with Bill Clinton and I've seen Bill Clinton lie. Cramer, you are no Bill Clinton. <G>
