I'm glad the issue of the water filters came up. I don't know nearly as much about Honduras as Nicaragua, as I've been in Tegucigalpa but never the countryside, but I believe it's true of all the Central American countries (except Costa Rica) that pure water is a humungous problem. We have a slight tendency to think of these little countries as "pure", but the pollution is actually unbelievable. The lakes in Nicaragua are actually dead.

Also, the primary cause of death in young children is diarhea, thus dehydration. Thousands a year could be saved with simple clean water. Maybe in time water purifiers can take care of it. The Swiss and Austrians are doing a lot of work on cleaning the lakes, but no one's promised they'll ever be clean.

Good for your church!
