Ingram, Inacom Slammed By Vendor Incentives
techweb.com

"Slammed" might be too kind of description. Now let's see, here are the financials if they earn 50 cents the last quarter, and are now selling at around $16:

price to book: 6.5
price to earnings: 7.2
long term consensus growth rate: 18.7% (Zack's)
growth/p-e ratio: 2.6

The institutions are dumping in a panic sale - they need to keep their year end bonuses as high as possible and don't have the option of waiting a few years, if necessary, to realize the value here.

Long term the market is a weighing machine, short term a voting machine - and the institutions are stuffing the ballot box right now. I may buy more next week, after I research exactly what was said and the implications for the next few years, if any.

Any other takes on what is going on? Am I missing the boat here, long term?

Joe
