Those are Retail Clearance Bin Sellers

don't take those numbers too seriously as
they reflect inventory already sold a long
time ago by various publishers. Freddy Fish #2
is selling like hot cakes for $7 a throw, but
that's just to defray the cost of trashing them.
Many of those titles are bought by non gamers
for gamers, I mean seriously, who the hell do
you know really wants to play Myst! Other games
like Diablo and StarCraft were million sellers
who are going out the door cheaper as they grow
long in the tooth. You can get StarCraft now
for under $30 since the BroodWars add-on was
released. Just a few weeks ago, it was still
a $45 relic. The fact that no Tomb Raider title
even appears on this list, only illustrates it's
inaccuracy as TR2 sold better than half those titles.

Today's New York Times did a few paragraphs
and featured the box cover art all
about Gangsters, and Eidos got a mention.
here's a cute out take from the article;

"It's not like Sim City, where you build something, a fire happens and you send out fire trucks," said Gary Keith, a spokesman for Eidos. "You're a mob boss and the goal is to be the richest and most powerful man in the city."
Perhaps it should be renamed Sim-sin...
