I just read the Michael Burke piece on the front page. Some pretty bold stuff. Michael, I can only say one thing. Your tone is that of a man betting against the Web. It may not not be the forum the real hype proponents maintain, but the potential is truly, staggering. Shorting some of the tech issues labeled in the article might be like standing in front of a freight train. My own 'long tastes' run to the companies that make expansion of the Web possible, rather than the issues that use the web as the medium of the conduct of their business (.com companies) or the PC industry outright, but i would not bet against the web in any form at this point; rather try an pick the right sector to grow with it.
