Trading: TSE:AMZ The Board of Directors of America Mineral Fields Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce that Bernard Vavala, Chairman has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Mr. Vavala replaces Stephen Malouf who has resigned in order to devote his full time to the practice of law. Mr. Vavala stated that this change is in accordance with commitments made to Mr. Malouf by the Board when Mr. Malouf assumed the role of President and CEO. Mr. Vavala also noted that his appointment is expected to be on an interim basis and that the Company has had extensive discussions with a candidate to replace Mr. Malouf on a permanent basis. The Directors of the Company express their appreciation to Mr. Malouf for his leadership during this past year and look forward to his continuing contribution as a Director.
