Lots of demos are coming out now with 3D acceleration support built in. Starting with Quake2, most FPS demos have it. Sin, Shogo, Heritic II, and others.

BTW, I recently played the demo for StarWars:Rogue Squadron - excellent! Glide support also. The demo was kinda short, but it reinforced my belief that games based on established Hollywood properties can be extremely immersive very quickly. Games like Quake, Sin, and Half-Life start from zero - in terms of they player's knowledge of the characters, environment and plot. Rogue Squadron has a _huge_ set of established contexts in which it exists and that makes it fascinating. Jedi Knight was the same way.
