KJ, Thanks for responding. Yes that does help. Now to the next question, I was speaking with someone at Lucent and they told me they were working towards a goal of going from network to router to network and skipping everything in the middle, i.e. switches. Do you think this is realistic and will impact the need for switches? And for another "stupid" question, are we talking about the same kinds of switches in this scenario? GAJ
