China has 10k titles of VCD available on the market--black or non-black. Yes, the Chinese market was ready for VCD because it replaced a laser disc, a karaoke machine, a regular audio CD player and a VHS VCR. Not enough legal protection for intellectual property that includes copyright for the contents also helps fuling the VCD market in China. It will be interesting to see whether the illegally copied VCD titles get popular in India, too or not? It made a lot of sense that ESST is focusing at VCD even though DVD is very close by the door. When DVD chip set is really shipping in 5 million units a year rate, then ESST will jump in at that time. And many others will, too. Mark
