It would appear that Intel sets AMD's processor pricing.

I hope that we will never again hear you complaining about AMD's pricing practices, and how it hurts Intel. Here is one example:

They (AMD) try to insure that nobody can make any money in a given product area by low-balling prices. They use this to gain market share.
