I find it very interesting that Nixon et. al. would have gotten off scot free if not for the White House recording system. BTW I'm glad he got caught although it did little to provide a lesson to our present 'leader'. It took tapes to bring down Nixon who many said he didn't do anything different than other presidents, he just got caught. Now that it's a tape that's damaging their boy Clinton they scream bloody murder-how ironic. Same too when Gingrich's private cellular phone call was taped and released by a congressman (I think). Where were all the leftists when Nixon's and Gingrich's privacies were being invaded? Funny too how when Clarence Thomas was being skewered for having pictures from Playboy in his apartment, showing him to be a person of 'bad character', there were no outcries from the left, his persecutors, saying it's only a private matter about one's sex life. I guess they prefer their leaders to actually having sex, oh excuse me it's not actually 'sex' now is it, even if it's with an employee old enough to be his daughter in the oval office. No abuse of power there . . . nooooooo. Just desserts too that the left is screaming against Clinton's past sexual history being under scrutiny since it's nobody's business-which it isn't-but Clinton himself signed into law a provision allowing any person accused (only accused mind you) of sexual harassment to have all their sexual proclivities investigated including going into their house, mail, trash, and computer files looking for 'evidence'. The left is reaping what they've sown-they just didn't expect it to be themselves. I hate double standards. halfscot
