************OT************* I am not trying to change anyones opinion here. I am saying that you will often pay 10 or more times to deal with a full service broker, but you get better service and many services which otherwise are not available. Tens of millions of sophisticated investors as well as those not sophisticated deal happily with the wire houses based on their perception of the value of the service. It is not for everyone, not is on-line trading. Neither is generically better or worse than the other. Clearly price is not everything in this decision. If it was the Merryls of the world would have been out of business a long time ago and obviously they are not.
