David, ingram is hurting in selling pc's. Let me give you an example. Lets take GE Capital IT solutions, a huge customer of ingram. They will use ingram when they cannot get supply of ibm, cpq, hp etc. or if a customer needs it really really quick....What they are saying is that this qt. the manuf. are getting the product to the ge's of the world and have a good supply so they are not turning to ingram for the pc's. BUT in terms of perh. they still go to ingram as the primary supplier. The ge's of the world will not buy direct from iomega, cannon, intel, etc. its usually for the pc's themselves and just about all the perh. come from ingram...unless you are compusa, office depot. etc.....
