David, basically, FLEX will earn ~2.50 by FY99 which ends in March 99, 3 months from now. They expect ~3.10 for FY00 which ends in about 1 year and 3 months. JBL is expected to earn 2.21 by FY99 which ends AUG 99, 9 months from now. JBL is expected to earn ~2.90 by August 2000. That gives FLEX more earnings per share in 6 months less time. That is strictly speaking PE ratio's. There are many other arguments for who is growing faster and can land more customers, but the bottom line is FLEX is "expected" to earn more, and faster than JBL according to analysts, First Call, Yahoo, etc.
