William, even though you have been blinded by the mania, I dont worry for your financial health because as you've stated you watch the markets tick by tick- if anyone can get out with their shirt intact it will probably be you. But when (its no longer a case of if) the collapse does happen, it's going to be so fast that a LOT of investors are going to get absolutely killed.

My hypothesis that a large part of the runup's severity is due to the reports of 75% of retail investors only placing market orders reveals a darker side- when these stocks start to tank they're going to place market sell orders. And with the liquidity so terribly low in most of the internut issues, what do you think is going to happen when all of a sudden everyone places a market sell?

People are going to find their orders filled at 10% of the value they thought they'd get.

You know, my prediction for Jan 4 being the start of the collapse is probably wrong. I certainly dont have a monopoly on rational thinking, and there must be tons of large shareholders who fully intend to get out before the retail hordes start selling in the new tax year. I think the new "start of the collapse" date is more likely to occur next week.
