It is interesting that the most successful Internet companies are those that were born into the Internet. The the internal inertia and resistance in established non-Internet companies should not be underestimated. And the innovation and quickness of pioneers should not be underestimated. We've seen this happen before: IBM failed at getting into the PC operating system business; Compaq has failed at getting into direct sales; AOL stops Compuserve; Cisco and 3Com take the networking market away from IBM; Intel tries to enter the PC business and fails. Compare Amazon's cash flow with their competitor's over the last year or quarter.

P.S.: When the bubble bursts, will the Internet disappear?
