Now the VTAR © stocks:

FOR December 23rd 1998

Amazon.com [AMZN-322 3/8 + 3 5/8] We now have a running profit of 195 points on our investment of $126 3/4, for a running profit of over 250% for a month and we have never wavered in our strong buy recommendation. However, we are going to take some money off the table here. Sell AMZN $330 for a clear profit of over 200 points. Let's take it to the bank. We are reducing our rating on AMZN on Bloomberg from "strong Buy" to "Buy" as we think there is still more in this stock, but from a trading viewpoint, it is time to cash in a little and relax. We can always come back to AMZN…it's not like it's going off the radar screen

EBay [EBAY-300] we have over a 50% profit in a week. EBAY is not finished, but for our trading purposes it is again time to relax and take in the money and look later how to re-deploy it. It comes down to risk/reward and as I keep saying…"If you mind the risk, the profits will take care of themselves."

America On-Line [AOL-135] + 18. Going to the S & P and let's sell on that news. What great stock for us. Again, the same rationale as above.

UBID [UBID-134 1/2] up50 3/8 or 60% for the day. Just sell it. Do I need to give you a reason? I don't think so. We now have over 100 points PROFIT on our initial investment of $34 1/16 ! Even those who sold on the opening yesterday at $99 1/2 did OK…if you call a near triple in 4 days "OK."

Sotheby's Holdings [BID-29 3/4] + $1 3---continue to accumulate.

Schwab/Chuck [SCH-55 7/16] + 3 3/4. Stay long….just stay.

Double-Click [DCLK-48 1/16] Stay.

Adolph Coors [ACCOB-53 1/4] we are glad we took the profit.

Micron Electronics [MUEI-18 1/16] the street gave us a buying opportunity. Accumulate still.

IBM [182 7/8] + 6 1/2 Top not yet in sight. Stay.

Pharmacia & Upjohn [PNU-55] + 1

Perkin-Elmer [PKN-96] - 1, glad we sold this.
