With regard to writing many naked options on expiration day at 1/8 or 1/16... I read about that. It was called selling teenies. The problem is, the markets close friday and the options are still good till saturday. One weekend there was takeover announced. People wrote options for 1/16, and it cost them a lot (10, 50, 100?). After that the strategy was frowned upon. Hans
