You've got all this cheap food flooding into the US. NAFTA made it worse. Obviously tariffs will make food grown in the US more competitive. You don't see pork bargains because of heavy NY taxes and indifference to gouging I guess. If consumers of gold boycotted it, the price would drop and miners would be the first to feel it. Same with pork. Maybe the mafia is taking a big cut keeping prices high some places. Who knows.

As far as I'm concerned, food is cheap in Wisconsin and nobody has anything to complain about here. Most people should be glad they're not out on the street in Guatemala City.
