I don't buy the "SEC filings are not up to date" argument. There were several changes in this latest filing, including a change to the expected timeline for qualification of the first line. (from 2nd half of calendar year '98 to first quarter calendar 99). These are not simply copies of previous filings.

One can search for all kinds of reasons why the SEC filings are not accurate, or one can take them to accurately portray the status of the company.

There is nothing in any of the SEC filings that contradicts any other official statement by the company (e.g. Lev's refusal during the last CC to acknowledge Line 1 is providing production samples). The only thing these SEC filings contradict is the misinformation spread on the internet. So far, the accuracy of VLNC's SEC filings concerning production status has been 100% while the accuracy of the self-proclaimed experts on these threads has been about 0%.

Until I hear the company tell me different, I will take the latest filings at face value. These say: Line 1 is running, has not been safety qualified, is not expected to be safety qualified until sometime during the 1st quarter of 99, will not provide samples until safety qualification is completed, and customers will require an extensive testing period after receiving samples.
