Daimler-Benz decided to use Siemens fuel injection systems, reports S&P(Sept 1998)

"In mid-1998, OE scored a coup when Daimler-Benz decided to use Siemens fuel injection systems designed by OE in the Mercedes A- and C- engines. Under the agreement, OE will receive U.S.$40 for each engine sold. The company says these engines should begin production in FY 00, with production levels peaking at 250,000 in FY 03."

We need to confirm if this is still true or a misunderstanding on the part of S&P.
