Ed,

I think that this Cable sharing issue has gotten totally out of hand.
Lets say that 9 of your neighbors and your self are downloading
info at the same time,....now your rate goes from 10 meg to 1 meg.
What are the chances that everyone on the network is going to download mega files all at the same time. For the most part their is a lot of idol time. I think that Cable modems are like company's internal networks, but on a much grander scale. If the infrastructure can support the traffic then it could be a powerful force. I think that the average Cable modem speed could be at least 300k and up to 1 meg,...not bad for $40 a month.
All in my own opinion.
