Short Interest Down 5%

According to Monday's IBD, short interest in WCII declined from 10.37 million to 9.8 million (as of 12-15-98).

Also note that in a story on IBD's 'Computers & Technology' page, Winstar is mentioned as one of 6-7 telecom companies likely to be a takeover target in 1999. Listed suitors are AT&T, Sprint, Worldcom, and a foreign telco.
