Thumper .. Cut & Paste can be used virtually anywhere. Let's say there is a paragraph in a word processing document, e.g. MS Word, that you want to e-mail to someone. Go to the document and place the mouse pointer at the start of where you want to copy. Then press down on the left mouse bottom - don't release it - and move or "drag" the mouse down the screen. The text should start to "highlight" or change colour as you do this. Once you've highlighted what you want to copy, stop "clicking" - release the left mouse button.

Now this text is ready to be copied. Some told you to use the EDIT, COPY and then EDIT PASTE function. Here's another way to do it - one which I prefer. Once you've highlighted the required text, press the CTRL key on your keyboard and while still holding it down, press C on your keyboard. That copies the text into the computer's memory and it will stay there until you "CTRL C" something else or turn off your computer.

Now the text is ready to pasted somewhere. For example, if you want to send an e-mail that includes that text, start your e-mail program, and then at the point where you'd like to include the copied text, press CTRL V (again, press the CTRL on the keyboard, press V while still holding the CTRL down). Like magic, your text should appear.

You can highlight virtually any text that you see on the Net.

Hope that helps.
