Hi everyone! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

We're certainly finishing this year with a bang..

Still wondering what Jach is smoking.... I know I know..now he says he was in FORE, CIEN, and PERI.... uh.....duh...

I don't get it...? Up more than CSCO - I don't think so.

Now, if you were dumb lucky enough this year to ride the internet stocks...the true irrational exhuberance of EBAY, AMZN, AOL, and the like, well congratulations!!! Truely unbelievable. If anything was to get their tires deflated next year it will definitely be the internet retailers. Remember KTEL!!! Sheesh!!! EGGS?.. All you had to do was say "internet" and the collective investment community came running....amazing...

Well, these type of investments/investors should help put into perspective the value of an investment in CSCO. A solid company with a strong product line...generating over $10B in reveunues with consistenetly strong margins. A management team that continues to outthink and outmanuever the competition and always seems to succeed on every endeavor. Sure there will be contrarians. Heck, there should be. That's what keeps us honest and informed, but beware the naysayers that know nothing. Fact is Cisco is in a competitive market (thankfully or 'ol J. Reno will want a little chat), a competitive market that Cisco has a good handle on. 99 will be another banner year as the company pushed revenues towards $15B...and in 2000 to $20B. These are Chamber's words...he mentioned the $20B number over a year ago and I believe he'll get this company there.

Today....yes, perhaps we're a little over-extended and perhaps we get a pullback. To what though? To the low 80s?...the mid 70's?...hey, we were there only a month ago...that would be a 25% correction and a great buying opportunity I believe. Once again, remember the macroeconomics here...the networking sector is on the verge of explosion. Cisco as well as other networkers are going to do very well...it is THE sector to be in for the next 5 years.....and beyond. Even if Cisco see's more competition the demand for networking equipment will not wane and CSCO, ASND, LU, NT, ERICY, ALA, etc...will do very well....along the way picking up companies like XYLN, FORE, CS, PAIR,...etc...

Well, I must be off for now. I'll be back on new years with my predictions for 99.... Until then, HAPPY HOLIDAY'S!
