Ok, everyone.
I finally broke down. I have formed the Nextel Worldwide Users Group forum over on Delphi Formums. Go to delphi.com and type in Nextel.
After a while, all this Yahoo/SI chat and posting is almost like chasing our tails.
I want the email of anyone who uses a Nextel phone. Perhaps even their Nextel phone number.
There is incredible power in Nextel's network. It ain't being realized. So I'm simply volunteering some of my energy to devote to this cause.
I know this all sounds like so much "what's he talking about, etc". Forgive me. When we look back all this will become clear. We have these Nextel networks that contain users who, if organized, can move mountains. I'm not going to singlehandedly organize this thing. It's going to come from a collection of users.
I don't seen any leadership coming from Nextel in this direction.
It's time to "network our network". Get people to come out of the forest. Let's start affirming the power of this network for the world to see firsthand. Wall Street is treating Nextel - and by extension
us - as PCS/Cellular chumps. I've had enough. And I hope you agree.
Climb onto Delphi, type in Nextel and start sharing some more of the wealth behind the who/what/where/when/how/why of what you do, your business, the local Nextel network you are on, the way you use the phone, what you like/dislike about it, what you would like to see going forward,etc.
This is ground floor. I'm not soapboxing this thing. We just need to organize, period. We have this "next telephone" network which is not understood even by the company that supports it.
Let's bring this thing to a "higher level". Let's claim the power and leverage of a unique worldwide network as "ours". If we think and act like PCS/Cellular wannabees then that's how Wall Street will value us. We have a network of users that can overpower Yahoo and Amazon. The next step is in webbing us together - information, networks, links, etc, etc.
Arnie et. al....call me crazy, but I've stood on the sidelines long enough watching this unbelievable potential get crapped on from all sides.
If I have to eat more cake and blow more wind to get this done, then so beit.
