Curtis,
"Forget the tracer idea"
I predict orally absorbed, highly specific tracers will be available within the next decade. We all should be on the lookout for them, not forget them, because they will make it much easier to pick up malignancies, and will be wonderful investment opportunities.
"PET for cancer"
I haven't researched this greatly, but it seems like it has significant potential, since it's able to pick up areas of increased metabolism far below the surface, and even through bone. Right now, I think the level of resolution would limit its effectiveness, but that will change dramatically with time, I'd bet.
"the probability of getting through FDA"
CTI has one BIG advantage - it's non-invasive, so the FDA doesn't have to worry about toxicity. The only problem I can see is if the studies are not absolutely conclusive, then they could ask for more data, setting things back by a couple of years.
But that's why this is a speculative stock, selling for pennies at the moment! A good one to have a few shares of, at the current price, IMO.
