(I also think there is an overdoing here of looking for a precipitating event to cause a market break. Look at how much bad news has been ignored over recent weeks. It seems to me to be just as likely that the next sell off will be "caused" by a non-event. In other words all the reasons are in place already. Perhaps all it takes is a small child to remind investors that the emperor has no clothes :-))
