In my opinion, reading the Starr report and supporting it is worse personal behavior than watching "The People vs. Larry Flynt". Just so you know how far apart we are.

Regarding your questions regarding Larry Flynt, no I doubt he will be speaking at the Democratic convention. No matter how many times the rabid right-wingers on the McLaughlin group try to insinuate that the Clintons somehow support Flynt, the public aint buying it... and there is no connection between Democrats and Flynt, as Im sure you are aware. Of course I can understand why you are trying to clutch onto this myth since many in your party are about to be exposed as the hypocrites that they are and the only way you can counter this info is to shoot the messenger (oops too late).

I have said before that I think it was Starrs bad judgement as to how to deal with this investigation that has led the country down this path. Starr was the catalyst for everything. I wonder if in 3 years after the republican party is completely decimated if you all will feel supporting him was worth it, or for that matter if he himself will feel it was all worth it, as his life is destroyed. Above and beyond the issues of the investigation, the judgement of the republicans on the cost/benefits of their actions now makes me believe they are not suitable as leaders. I believe most agree, well have to see in 2000.
