Gilbert, No known bugs on AMD at 350. Microsoft win98 has a sometime flaw due to the processor being faster than the loop, fix on line. I would suggest you get the AMD processor, but buy it from a small local assembler as they can give you overclocking and extra cooling to run it at 450 MHZ. Check tomshardware.com and also anandtech.com and tweakit.com for more details. Do not let the Intel boys coax you into a celeron as it has no upgrade path and costs more. The Compaqs also have no upgrade path, so you cannot change the motherboard, you must toss the machine.Compaq wants you to buy a new box, not to upgrade the motherboard. Bill
