MSFT is to eat AOL's lunch , instead of AOL eat MSFT's lunch , once MSFT has the
infrestructure ready for the internet. It may happen sometimes in 1999.

Currently people are just too optimistic about these e-commerce business, any company set up a www will be counted as an internet company and the stock soars, and that is rediculous. Once the internet heat is cooled down , we will see big drop
in these stocks. The barrier is just too low, and every company can easily set up its own www, and sells on the net, so the competition will be fierce. I do not think
there will be many consumers will buy through the net, think about the enjoyment
of buying in the MALL, and seeing is beliving, people like to see things before
they spend the money . I would say about 5% of the people will buy through the net
in the future, and not many companies sell through the net can make real money.
But I am pretty sure MSFT will be the real winner in the e-commerce business. The advantage for MSFT is it is huge , and strong financially , so it will win.
