Happy Solstice to you too, Del. My wishes for your winter happiness are sincere, although we could not be more different in our views of Larry Flynt. I do not think you could support Flynt's actions here unless you believe that the whole Clinton scandal was about sex--it is logical if you do to believe that anyone who commits adultery deserves being outed. However, if like me you believe that Clinton's sins are perjury, obstruction of justice and a whole slimy brew of felonies he has committed over the last twenty years, it would be natural to be alarmed by a publisher of pornography being used as a Clinton operative.

You know, James Carville and Larry Flynt are both from Louisiana, and Carville played a part in a movie about him. As I said before, the journalist Cokie Roberts has stated that the White House was trying to get her attention about the Livingtson stuff a couple of weeks before it came out publicly. Flynt is, very simply, a Clinton operative. It is obvious to me that Clinton's dirty tricksters are using blackmail to intimidate senators. I think that is really unethical. Adultery and lying under oath, or using the the power of your office to obstruct justice, are public acts, not private ones. I think, in fact, that it is alarming and a little pathetic that the public is so tuned out to what is happening that they listened to the news twice during the year, heard the Clinton spinmeisters' magic of "private sexual life", and made decisions never understanding how thoroughly vile the Clinton administration is.

I guess we do get the leaders we deserve, though!
