Only one of Monica's "friends", the drama teacher who was married and had an affair with her, ever alleged that. I thought at the time that the whole thing smelled pretty bad, like the Clintonistas were paying him or something.
I will admit that Monica was emotionally ill and very fragile. No ethical fifty-year-old man, knowing that, would have had sex with her AT WORK when he was in a position of power over her. Of course, Clinton has no ethics. His larger mistake was lying to the American people, however, and under oath as well.
Even if you believe that Monica entrapped Billy, that does not explain the strange occurrences where Martin Landau, another Democratic operative, allegedly tried to shut Katherine Willey up, or why her tires were slashed, her cats disappeared, or her children's safety was threatened. Or why Clinton would sexually grope her when she came to him at the Oval Office looking for full-time paid work (she was already a volunteer). The sad conclusion I think logical people would have to arrive at is that Clinton is a serial sexual predator and will stop at nothing to cover his tracks. And that is a lot different from a senator or congressman who has an affair which is truly in the realm of his private life.
