Yeah, just got back from there - Hanauma. My in-laws live just over the hill in Hawaii Kai, walking distance. The water was cool though, takes a bit to get in, and murky not like back on Guam where they are from. Father-in-law has some land he farms a bit back there. Has a few mangoes. Mango are out of season right now on Oahu, I'm bummed, but the weather is perfect.

They used to have a beachfront house on Tumon Bay in Guam. We were married there in 85. Big fiesta. 4 pigs, tons of barbequed chicken and fish, we fed about 750 people that day, island people do know how to party. Coconuts, heart of coconut, mango, star apples, jungle flowers, split coconut palm frond decorations everywhere. Partied till dawn. One uncle's gift - 5 gallons of Mai Tai, he was retired bartender.

Last night, Christmas dinner was a smallish intimate affair, only about 30 people all family, a couple turkeys, a skipjack, loads of kelaguin (shredded coconut and minced chicken), red rice and fresh caught wahoo sushi. My daughter is pleased, says I remarried well.
