I called the local Merrill Lynch office and spoke to a broker there and he provided little hope of purchasing any shares before the opening day. He said my best bet was to put in an order with a major brokerage firm the morning of the IPO and to hope for the best. Maybe Buycomp.com will market their shares on their website. :) Looking forward to owning shares of a company that I am sure will be one of the forces to be reckoned with as all retailing becomes web based. I just need to call Sun Micro and have a salesperson head over to Buycomp and sell them a couple Starfire UltraEnterprise 100,000 severs.
