NW and anyone else around today, take a look at the Internet domains CPQ has staked-out [this information is on the page that comes up when clicking on CPQ, now up to #9, on the page Steve pointed us to]. CPQ's choice of domain names is meaningful and leads me to a number of questions and a real head scratcher. Asking just one of my questions, does anyone know what kind of facilities CPQ might be considering for Colorado and New Jersey? Both states [and no others] have Compaq domain names.
Now for my big head scratcher: Why would/does CPQ want domains with Dell in the name? No domain names with IMB, Gateway, HP, etc., just Dell. Checking the domain names Dell has at this site, they do not have any with Compaq or CPQ in it so the idea of one company registering a name the other would want so they do a switch down the line falls flat.
